Holding a Javelin Basics:
Place the dart on the palm of your hand, find its center of balance (i.e., the center of gravity). Roll the dart with your thumb to the tip of your fingers, then place your thumb slightly behind the center of gravity, and finally grab it with the rest of your fingers, as you find convenient. You can then raise your arm to throw the dart.
Most hold-dart methods are only slightly different from this standard hold-dart method.
Basic Requirements:
The dart point should be slightly upward! As you read in Chapter 1, when holding a dart, always ensure that the tip is slightly upward. If your dart point is downward, please immediately correct it!
